Posted on Oct 20 2014 - 10:02pm

While the Scouts are at SkyZone on Wednesday 10/29, we have agreed to host a "Community Conversation" for parents.

A Community Conversation is a small gathering of parents or other caring adults interested in learning about youth substance abuse, the effects of substances on the developing adolescent brain and proven prevention strategies. The purpose of this gathering is to initiate a discussion regarding youth substance use and abuse. What do you find acceptable? What are the rules in your house?

A trained facilitator will lead the meeting to direct discussion and provide information regarding the trends of substance use/abuse among Ashland's youth.

More information is available here:
http://www.ashlanddecisions.org/

When the Scouts arrive back at the VFW after SkyZone, we'll have pizza for everyone!
